I'm a Victoria-based photographer specializing in the wet collodion method since 2012. With roots in film and darkroom photography from the mid-90s in Winnipeg, I returned to traditional methods to rediscover my artistic passion. My photography has been shown in the Xchanges Members Shows, Fortune Gallery, Arts & Culture Colwood, the Sooke Fine Art Show, and the Cowichan Valley Fine Art Show in 2024, winning a Juror's Choice Award. My work in the Metchosin ArtPod's 'Pieces of Me' show was awarded a Juror's Choice as well.  I also published 'Of Land & Sea' and collaborated on 'Broken' with Will Gordon. My work has also been featured in various publications, and is part of private collections worldwide.

Aside from the wet collodion process utilizing glass plates and chemistry to create ambrotypes and tintypes I also work in digital photography. This piece, 'The Light Always Returns', explores the theme of 'Peace and Joy' through digital photography in the forest. I find peace in the forest. Time slows amongst the the trees, giving time to contemplate and reconnect with self. The light is always changing, always new. I find joy in capturing this ever changing and sometimes elusive light, but I know that it will be back, and, with luck, I will be there to see it.
