A tunnel book is a vintage book model often manufactured for special occasions. My tunnel book was created to express the idea that joy is found in what we love and I love creating playful book structures. The wired beads spell out words like "joy" "peace" and 'love" and I wanted the work to hold a surprise. When you look into the opening you can see a jeweled heart on the back wall.

Paste papers, ephemera, cradle, beads, blocks, buttons, jewels and wire all assembled into a concertina which holds the "pages".
