The inspiration behind this piece stems from my deep appreciation for the peony's vibrant colors and its transformation over time. Observing the peony's colour as it deepened and became more intense with age was a captivating experience. This transformation—from a bright, almost blinding pink to a rich, dark hue—became a central theme in my work. Capturing this metamorphosis required an acute focus on colour and detail, abundantly present in this image.
