As a young child I wanted to be an artist, but instead fell under the delusion of “real life” right out of high school. With jobs, marriage, children, and university behind me, I finally attended the Victoria College of Art, completing a Diploma in 2003. My work has been shown in several juried group and solo shows, most notably solo shows at the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies in Banff, the McPherson Library Gallery at the University of Victoria, the Maple Ridge Art Gallery, and Station House Gallery in Williams Lake. I am a member of the Phyllis Serota Studio Group in Victoria BC.
StatementWhether it's a landscape painting, a pet portrait or an abstract work, my work is an exploration of colour and form. I strive for balance and stillness in the work.
